CORRECTIONS AND REMOVAL · SOURCE READ 2026-08-22

Wrong about you? Say so and it changes.

We publish a copy of the CPPA data broker registry, 549 companies as the state listed them. It is a public record and we did not add anything to it. If our copy is wrong, or if you simply want it gone, this page is how that happens.

  1. 01

    Anyone listed can ask.

If your company appears anywhere on this site because it appears on the CPPA registry, you can ask us to correct or remove that listing. Email the address below from any address at your own domain. You do not need to be an officer, a lawyer, or the person who filed the registration.

  2. 02

Corrections land within five business days.

Send us what is wrong and what it should say. If the fix matches the current CPPA file we apply it within five business days and the page carries a dated line saying it was corrected. If it does not match the current file we will tell you that, and tell you what our copy says, so you can see where the difference is.

  3. 03

Delisting is a state, not a deletion.

If your company is no longer in the current CPPA file, the page says so as of that date and is removed from search indexes. We do not delete the URL. A deleted URL leaves whatever a search engine already cached in place, which is a worse outcome for you than an honest page saying you are no longer listed.

  4. 04

Full removal on request, without argument.

If you would rather the page not exist, say so and it will not exist. We do not ask why, we do not offer an alternative first, and we do not put it behind a form. One email, and the page is gone within five business days.

  5. 05

We re-read the source every month.

A monthly job downloads the CPPA file again and diffs it against ours. Newly registered companies get a page, companies that dropped off get the delisted state, and nobody has to notice by hand. A copy of a public record that goes stale is worse than no copy at all.

Where to send it.

Email corrections@dropdue.com with the company name and either the correction or the word remove. A person reads it. You will get a reply telling you what we did, not a ticket number.

Our copy of the registry is searchable at the registry lookup, and the state publishes the original at cppa.ca.gov.

DropDue is not affiliated with the CPPA and does not speak for it. Correcting our copy does not correct the state’s. Not legal advice.
